I got approached from one of my favorite photographers, Manny with IMAFOTO to do the flowers for a mock wedding. Manny’s idea was to shop a bohemian themed wedding photo spread to the bridal magazines in hopes of it getting picked up. Sadly the photo story never got published, but we got some amazing photos and I had fun getting out of my comfort zone and creating boho looking flowers, with the color scheme blue, yellow and green for this mock wedding shoot.

For the brides bouquet I used bright blue hydrangea, bright yellow dahlias and green succulent flowers. The Bridesmaid carried a bouquet made with orangey yellow alstromeria. What a beautiful color against her turquoise dress. The Groom wore a boutonniere of yellow/orange alstromeira that looked nice against his chocolate brown suit. The Best Man wore a matching boutonniere.

For the tablescape I used some very fun and funky vases in the golden yellow, copper and blue colors. Inside the tall vase in the center of the table was curly willow twigs. In the tall skinny blue container I used safari flower while the copper mosaic container held bright blue hydrangea and safari flower. On either end of the table small blue drinking glasses filled with a wild grass plant. I loved all the different textures and colors found on this table! Defiantly not my norm, yet very fun and challenging to execute!

The cake table had small containers with dusty miller plants and the cake was decorated with safari flowers, yellow dahlias and succulents.

What an amazing opportunity to participate in! Who knows maybe one day I’ll be asked to do something like this again that WILL get picked up and published in a bridal magazine! That would be amazing!!!
