Kevin and Amanda’s wedding was held at Sterling Hills Gold Club in Camarillo, California. It was so fun to travel to Ventura County for this blue, yellow and white Disney themed wedding. I first met Amanda at White House Black Market where I was working. She had recently gotten engaged and was in the shop with her mom to find a few outfits for her and Kevin’s engagement photo session at Disneyland. Turns out Kevin and Amanda met there, got engaged there and would soon be followed by a photographer all around both parks to have their engagement photos taken. Knowing all that, it was only natural that their wedding would have some sort of Disney magic and special touches. Amanda wasn’t really sure what she wanted for her reception arrangements, but trusted me enough to come up with some ideas for her. The one thing she was 100% positive on is that she wanted her bridal bouquet, and only her bridal bouquet to be made with blue iris. I did exactly that for Amanda, and added some fun “hidden Mickey” Mickey Mouse detail on the ribbon on wound around the stems of her bouquet.

The ceremony was held in front of a beautiful white gazebo with views of the gold course. For the gazebo piece I used sunflowers, light blue delphinium, white iris, blueperium, billy balls and greenery (Amanda loved billy balls). I even hid a few “hidden Mickey’s” made out of billy balls in the piece. The chairs that lined the aisles were adorned with sunflowers, bluperium and lemon leaf wrapped in a blue satin ribbon.

For the reception welcome table I created a special surprise arrangement for Amanda and Kevin that they were both over the moon excited about. I made a bubble bowl arrangement with sunflowers; bluperium and lemon leaf and then topped it with a Mickey Mouse made from twisted bear grass. I think this was my favorite piece for the wedding! So fun and out of the box! For the tables, Amanda decided on two different arrangements, both in bubble bowls. The first bubble bowl arrangement I made was with sunflowers, bluperium and both dark and light blue delphinium. The second bubble bowl arrangement was made with white gerbera daisies, bluperium, dark and light blue delphinium and yellow billy balls (and you know there were hidden Mickey’s in these arrangements)!

This wedding was so much fun with the touches of Disney everywhere that even the venue got into my hidden Mickey idea. Plates suddenly were formed like Mickey and cucumbers in the salad and so on! Such a fun wedding with such a fun, Disney loving couple! May they live happily ever after!
