Josh and Jackie got married at the University Club at UCI in Irvine. What a beautiful venue! The red and orange color scheme was perfect for this fall wedding. Jackie liked flowers you’d find in a garden so I tried to incorporate that and make gardeny arrangements and bouquets. The bridal bouquet was made with red roses and spray roses, orange Asiatic lilies, red alstromeria and red hypericum berries. I love all the different textures going on in this bouquet! Since the bridesmaids were wearing red we decided to use white alstromeria for their bouquets and to provide a pop against the red. Josh’s boutonnière was made with a red rose, red hypericum berry and greenery. The Groomsmen’s boutonnières and families’ wrist corsages matched the Bridesmaid’s bouquets and were made with white alstromeria.
The ceremony flowers and reception flowers kept with the same garden feel as the bouquets. The gazebo had a lovely arch piece made red roses and alstromeria, orange lilies, hypericum berries and seeded eucalyptus for the greenery. I also added small floral pieces of orange lilies and red spray roses to go on the posts at the front of the gazebo. The chairs along the aisle were decorate with red gerbera daisies, red alstromeria, lemon leaf and seeded eucalyptus that were tied with a red satin ribbon. For the reception piece we decided to re-use the ceremony pieces to decorate the Josh and Jackie’s sweetheart table and the cake table. The centerpieces were both made in bubble bowls. One type of centerpiece was a bubble bowl with bear grass and a floating red gerbera daisy. The second type of centerpiece was made with lemon leaf and seeded eucalyptus, orange lilies and red alstromeria.
I loved this fall wedding! The colors were amazing together and I loved using different textures with the flowers to create Jackie’s dream garden wedding look!
