Eric and Alethea’s wedding was at the Chart House Restaurant in Dana Point. This couple was from Virginia so it wasn’t until the actual day of the wedding that I got to meet them both! Alethea had a very clear vision what she wanted for her flowers. The color scheme we worked with was dark pink, blush, ivory and chocolate brown.
Alethea’s bouquet was made entirely with pink oriental lily blooms held together with a chocolate brown ribbon. The Bridesmaids all carried bouquets of dark pink gerbera daisies with chocolate brown ribbon and a bow. The pink was a beautiful pop of color against the chocolate brown dresses. The Flower Girl carried a kissing ball made with scented geranium greenery and dark pink mini gerbera daisies. The Groom, his Groomsmen and the Fathers all wore boutonnieres of mini pink gerbera daisies with eucalyptus greenery. Eric’s bouquet had two bear grass loops to set him apart from the others. The Mother’s wore pin on corsages of pink gerbera daisies with a simple tied ribbon around them.
For the ceremony Alethea had a canopy with white fabric blowing in the breeze. I kept the adornment simple with a pink oriental lily bloom and a chocolate brown bow with streamers. Along the chairs Alethea wanted pink oriental lanterns with chocolate brown ribbon. This was something new for me, but I think it looked really cool. Pink rose petals were also used to line the aisle.
Alethea liked the idea of two different centerpieces for her reception. For the first centerpiece we went with a bubble bowl arrangement of packed pink oriental lilies. So simple but so gorgeous! For the second centerpiece we went with a cylinder vase with pink gems and topiary of dark pink gerbera daisies with a chocolate brown ribbon.
I loved the pink and the chocolate brown color combination for this wedding, and of course you can’t go wrong with oriental lilies in my book!
